Howdy!

I see you have taken some interest in the Salt Port Vigilance Committee; we are a SASS affiliated club, sponsored by Holley rod & gun club. In the early 1800's there was a salt spring down in the glen that runs thru the town, and an operating salt distillery, people would travel to Holley to buy salt, Salt Port was the name given to the town by the boatmen of the Erie canal back in the 1850's, years later the town would be given the official name of Holley NY. We refer to the people appointed to making things happen, The Salt Port Town Council.
