July News

We are getting together at GCL on Wednesday, July 20th at 5 pm for our first committee meeting. Anyone interested in the PTRs is welcome to attend. Topics for discussion are, planning ahead for upcoming shoots; a year-end dinner at the club, indoor shoots this winter; GCL hosting a three-day shoot next year, starting an NCOWS posse.  The clubs kitchen and bar will be open. Come on down, have a beverage, maybe dinner. It wont be no fandango and you don’t need to get roostered up, but ya can at least sit down and chew the fat fer awhile.

Now for the match results. We had eighteen shooters in attendance. The fastest gun, traditional was Bristol Bisley with Rev Dave Clayton taking high honors in duelist, Charley Ketchpaw was top gun for the Rangers. Drambuie, John Wildhorse and Tombstone shot the match clean (no misses or procedurals).

A big thank you to all who helped setup, run the match and tear down on Saturday afternoon.  Also I want to thank everyone who came out to shoot in the match, for your support.

Hope to see you all at the August shoot. We will have a Rifle side match after the main match. 50 yards, off hand, paper targets, 10 rounds (10 minute time limit), two categories, lever action or single shot rifle (lead bullets only). Winner will get a bounty good for a free shoot. If enough people want to stay in the afternoon we can shoot a fourth scenario. That’s all the gab I got for now.
