DEFENSIVE PISTOL I 

 

We will introduce the shooter to the basic fundamentals of pistol shooting and defensive tactics.  In the classroom we will cover local crime statistics, firearm safety, equipment, mind set and personal assessment.  On the range we will work on firearm safety, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, drawing the firearm and how to handle single and multiple threats.

Ammunition Requirements: 250 rounds  

 

DEFENSIVE PISTOL II

 

Begins with a review of topics covered in Defensive Pistol 1, learn advanced fundamentals of pistol shooting and defensive tactics, how to draw from concealment, speed loading techniques, malfunction clearing, shooting on the move, shooting from low and high cover, also practice single and multiple threat live action drills.

Ammunition Requirements:  300 rounds     

                                                

 

DEFENSIVE PISTOL III

 

This class adds more movement and off hand shooting. You will learn use of cover and concealment, use of space and tactical advantage points, home defense situations, how to handle encounters in crowds (on the street or in a place of business) The class culminates with a series of “heart pounding” live action drills.

Ammunition Requirements:  350 rounds   

 

All 1-day courses are 6 hours and cost $80 per student based on a minimum of 4 students attending.

DEFENSIVE RIFLE

 

Defensive Rifle covers safety, loading, trigger control, rapid fire drills, snap drills, transitions from rifle to handgun, precision shooting techniques and shooting on the move.  The class culminates with a series of single and multiple target, live action drills.

 Ammunition Requirements: 250 rounds                              

 

DEFENSIVE SHOTGUN

 

Defensive Shotgun will cover the tactical deployment of the firearm along with safety, loading, shooting on the move and angle shooting, rapid fire drills, snap drills, transitions from shotgun to handgun. The class culminates with a series of single and multiple target live action drills.

Ammunition Requirements: 100 rounds of birdshot, 20 rounds of buckshot and 10 slugs.
